A Resource Site for Educators
Portals to Learning opened its doors in 2000 as a learning center to provide individualized private instruction to students grades K – 12 in reading, writing, mathematics, and study skills. Founded by Marilyn Varricchio, M.Ed., Portals to Learning is located at 45 Court St., in downtown Middlebury, Vermont.
As part of our mission to bring quality instructional opportunities to teachers, Portals to Learning offers a variety of services and resources to educators, including teachers, paraeducators, and the most important of all educators, parents!
We at Portals to Learning believe that instruction, especially for children who struggle with learning, needs to be of high quality and based in the research literature about effective instruction. Thus we offer our SEAL of approval to products, courses, and instructional methods that we believe meet these criteria.
