Zip Around Basic Operations - Set B
for grades 4 & Up
Math problems come alive as questions and answers zip around the classroom! “Who has this number (30), multiplied by 9, and divided by 10?” triggers another student’s response of “I have 27. Who has one-half of 12, subtracted from this number?” Play continues through 32 cards and returns to the beginning. Players can be assigned as many cards as the size of the group requires. Features four levels of play and cycles. Switching among levels keeps everyone involved. Zip Around is a great way to develop oral speaking and listening skills while practicing math. Can be played with the entire class, in small groups, or as solitaire. Set B contains challenging word problems in all four basic operations, including squares and square roots. Some examples are half of 6, times 5; 7 minus (2 x 3); 8 divided by 4, plus (2 x 2); and 8 plus the square root of 36. |
