For Grades 5 & Up
Did you know the corpse flower grows to be as large as an umbrella? Did you know the foxglove is the source of digitalis, a powerful heart medicine? Every well-informed person needs to know about the life-giving role of flowers. Grow-a-Flower is an interesting and stimulating environment in which players progressively acquire a deep understanding of flower components, their locations, and their functions. Each flower embodies a system that leads to reproduction of itself. The study of systems is emphasized in both state and national standards. Players progress through three stages of learning—novice, gardener, and botanist—as they master information. For 2 players or teams.
